It all started in the spring of 2021 at Washington & Jefferson College. Victoria, a sophomore, and Thomas, a junior, met when fate (and a little bit of fun) brought them together at the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity’s formal. They talked, laughed, and enjoyed the brief time together, ultimately parting ways for the summer. But sometimes, even the smallest moments can quietly spark the beginning of something bigger.
The summer had come and gone — but the spark didn’t fade. In the fall, Victoria and Thomas reconnected less than a week into the semester through a mutual friend/brother in Thomas’ fraternity. The night was once again filled with laughter, joy, and a sense of something real.
The following week, Thomas unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19, breaking in-person contact between the two. However, daily food deliveries, calls, and care packages were just the beginning of Victoria's true character and kindness being revealed. Thomas knew Victoria was something special.
After quarantine and a few breakfast dates, they made it official.
Months later, Thomas graduated from W&J and moved to New York City to attend The Teachers College of Columbia University. After a year of traveling back and forth to spend time with each other, Victoria joined him on the East Coast to pursue her Master’s degree at Rutgers University.
They’ve been by each other’s side—navigating the many changes and milestones that come with early adulthood. From late-night study sessions to long-distance chapters, they embraced each new phase together with love, patience, and of course, humor. What began on a small college campus in Pennsylvania had grown into a shared life in one of the world's largest cities.
Now, Victoria is working full-time at Saint Peter’s University, and Thomas is teaching at the Gateway School while pursuing his doctorate. They continue to grow side by side — learning, supporting, and dreaming big. Together, they’ve built a life filled with love, purpose, and a serious loyalty to Pittsburgh sports!
From college sweethearts to lifelong teammates, Victoria and Thomas are so excited to take the next step in their journey — surrounded by the people they love most.
